Our original hardware lab, and the preferred lab for hardware-related projects.
The Cyber-Physical Systems Lab is our original lab for working with hardware. It has many of the same types of facilities and equipment as the Robotics Lab, so it is well suited to any low-voltage hardware and robotics work. We do not currently use it for teaching, which makes it our preferred lab for supporting hardware-related projects.
Location: Ground floor of the TEK “cheese” building, room Ø28-604-1
What can you do here?
This is the place to build, test and debug hardware for your project. The lab supports bachelor’s and master’s projects involving low-voltage electronics and robotics.
Students commonly use the lab to:
- Work on bachelor’s and master’s hardware projects.
- Build and test low-voltage electronic circuits.
- Develop robotics prototypes.
- Solder and handle electronic components.
- Measure and debug signals during development.
Equipment available
The Cyber-Physical Systems Lab has many of the same types of facilities and equipment as the Robotics Lab, including:
- Low-voltage power supplies
- Oscilloscopes
- Multimeters
- Tools for soldering and handling electronic components
Key info
- Preferred lab for projects: it is not currently used for teaching.
- Same type of facilities as the Robotics Lab: well suited to low-voltage hardware and robotics work.
- Safety instruction required: covering the lab, its equipment and tools, plus a general introduction to safety when working with electronics.
How to Access
To access the lab, you need to have received a safety instruction for the lab, its equipment and tools, and a general introduction to safety related to working with electronics.
If you want to use the lab and don’t have the required safety training, please contact Jacob Nielsen (jani@mmmi.sdu.dk). We cannot run safety courses all the time, but we can put you on a waiting list for the next course.
