New practices, emerged from MYRE DK-DE

10 new practices emerged, inspired by the cross-national collaboration.

Teaching with digital production in the ´Education Chain´

MYRE DK-DE has refined the concept of scaling teaching modules within the ‘education chain.’ This approach enables synergy by allowing teaching modules to be fully or partially reused across different educational levels and sectors.

All partners emphasized the benefits of this concept and plan to further expand their work in this area. A research paper (Lamscheck-Nielsen et al., January 2025) examines its key characteristics and challenges while providing a guide for sustainable implementation.

A tech-didactic model as a joint framework

The evaluations indicate that the teachers adopted the joint didactic model, ROBOdidactics, as a useful framework for communicating about their teaching processes.

Through a collaborative, cross-national work process, the model was further developed into ´DigiDidactics´.

The model was presented to the new MYREcross partners, who immediately understood and accepted it. Consequently, DigiDidactics will continue to be applied in future settings with educational partners across different geographical and professional contexts.

Follow-up project MYREcross

Based on the declared benefits of the cross-national collaboration as well as the valuable results for students, teachers, managers, and research, the project partners decided to initiatite a broader follow-up project.

MYREcross is intended to start in October 2025, including 10 educational partner institutions from Schleswig-Holstein, Southern Denmark and Zealand. 24 network partners are attached.

AI-strategy with focus on GDPR, Svendborg Erhvervsgymnasier

During MYRE DK-DE, the need for a strategic approach to applying artificial intelligence (AI) in education emerged. This strategy was a new initiative, developed during MYRE DK-DE, and was based on practical experiences with AI tools throughout the project.

The strategy resulted in an action plan that has already led to a wide range of new learning activities, involving more than 500 students across all subjects at the business high school (2024).

Inspired by Germany’s more reflective approach to AI implementation, Svendborg Erhvervsgymnasier integrated a strong GDPR-focused perspective into its innovative AI strategy.

Maritime technologies at RBZ Wirtschaft Kiel

Inspired by the maritime tech workshop, as well as own experiences with robot technologies during the project, the German partner decided to focus on technological and economical studies of the ocean environment.

RBZ Wirtschaft Kiel invested in 2 underwater drones and 10 airborne drones. During autumn 2024, the first experiments could be undertaken with the new drones.

Student exchanges with focus on language, Svendborg Erhvervsgymnasier

The cross-border collaboration and co-creation between Svendborg Erhvervsgymnasier and RBZ Wirtschaft Kiel led to the vision of incorporating student exchanges.

The international coordinators of both high schools have initiated a joint project (2025–2026) aimed at enhancing mutual understanding and communication. This project includes strategy development for promoting German as a subject in Denmark, with support from AI tools (artificial intelligence), a focus on sustainability, and themes from the world of sports.

Partners from lower secondary education and higher academic institutions are involved to cultivate ambassadors and ensure quality assurance.

Novel distribution methods of research papers

During MYRE DK-DE, several research papers on emerging technologies were developed.

Within this context and the framework of MYRE DK-DE, Danish researchers from SDU, the University of Southern Denmark, explored new ways of communicating and disseminating their papers, assisted by generative artificial intelligence (GenAI).

As a result and a new practice, multiple research paper podcasts were generated and reviewed for publication and academic discussions.

Research across faculties and country borders

MYRE DK-DE has also served as an organizational framework for establishing new partnerships.

At the research level, the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) looks forward to continuing its collaboration with experts and researchers from Danish University College UCL in the field of health education.

Additionally, new collaborations will be initiated with German experts and researchers specialized in didactics and online education.

An agile mind-set

Genuine collaboration involves an open-minded approach to both giving and receiving inspiration from one another. This approach is rooted in a willingness to understand and respect each other’s professionalism and choices.

During MYRE DK-DE, the partners became open to questioning their own approaches and adopting insights from one another. As a result, the exchange shifted from advocating for individual or local methods to collectively searching for even better solutions. This also involved seizing new impulses and initiating activities based on learnings that emerged during the project.

New horizons to explore

Facing the worldwide challenges and the great uncertainty implied, all partners became more and more aware of that action regarding these mega trends cannot be taken alone anymore.

Actionable, flexible, and trustful networks can contribute to provide educational institutions and their teachers proactively with the necessary knowledge, skills and competencies.

All partners will continue their work with emerging technologies in their local networks in the education chain as well as across country borders.
